Success with 15th Annual Valentine’s Dance

The 15th Annual Ina Watson Valentine Dinner and Dance would have made the lady this event is named after very proud. Mrs. Ina Watson was a dedicated employee and supporter of Camp ASCCA for many years. Camp ASCCA is extremely fortunate and blessed to have so many people who have carried the tradition that Mrs. Ina Watson set.

We would like to thank the people who made this year’s Valentine’s Dance a great success. Over 350 guests enjoyed delicious steak dinners which were donated by Piggly Wiggly of Dadeville’s, Laeman Butcher. Other sponsors who made this event possible are Duane and Shandy Lehman, Bobby and Wanda Ryals, RBC Bank in Dadeville, Floyd’s Feed and Seed, and Sandra Davenport.

The ladies “behind the scenes” of this event belong to the Friends of Camp ASCCA (FOCA) group and work tirelessly for weeks giving attention to every detail. We want to thank the FOCA members with special thanks to Lydia Staples, Yvonne Crispin, Wanda Ryals, Elise Williams, Nancy Whitfield, and Pat Merrett.

Through out the evening guests danced to the music of the live band, Glow, and participated in the silent auction. The proceeds made through this fundraiser go to the Camp ASCCA Campership Program which helps ensures that no camper is ever denied the opportunity to attend camp due to inability to pay.

Again, thank you to our Lake Martin community for participating in this event. The guests, volunteers and sponsors make this special night fun for everyone and beneficial for our campers. It is truly appreciated.
