The Summer Nurse is part of a team of four nurses. Our nursing culture here is proactive. You will work out of a spacious and modern four bed Health Center. Camp ASCCA has a staff to camper ratio of 2-3 to 1, and they take care of the majority of ADLs. We have short, five day sessions, and scheduled time off during the sessions. Housing is provided at the Health Center; each apartment has a private bath. Wi-Fi access is provided at no charge. All meals are provided, and nurses have their own kitchenette, if they prefer.
If you are passionate about nursing, and what it means, if you think making evening rounds with a flashlight is cool, and if you think that a scrub top and shorts sounds like good work clothes, then you are the kind of nurse Camp ASCCA is looking for. RNs and LPNs are encouraged to apply, and you must possess, or be able to get, an unrestricted Alabama Nurses License. While a shorter commitment is possible, we would prefer a full time commitment from June 22 – August 15, 2014.
