Yesterday was a very interesting day of camp. We had two full rotations, and we were supposed to have free choice activities in the afternoon. However, since it started to thunderstorm we went straight into the talent show after rest period. We split it into two parts; twenty acts before dinner and the other twenty after. It was held in the basement of Lions Lodge because that is one of the safest place at Camp.
Our afternoon was full of showers unfortunately, but we definitely did not let it rain on our parade. We started off with the Auburn and Alabama fight songs by Drew. He definitely got the crowd hype because half the room was made up of Auburn fans and the other half were Alabama fans! After that we just started playing a bunch of college theme songs because why not. They sung songs by Fantasia, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and many more. You could have one person singing in the beginning and then twenty by the end of the song because it was a very popular song. The girls were definitely ready for a full night of dancing and singing. During every song, they were out of their seats dancing to every beat showing as much expression as possible.
Next was dinner, and after that, we stayed in the dining hall and continued the talent show in there. There were even more acts and way more space for everyone to dance and do anything they felt like doing. At one point we had a group of thirty people in one act because they all loved the song that much. One of our campers loves the song “I Feel Like A Woman,” so he finally got the chance to sing that song with all of his friends.
