The talent show rocked the basement of the Lions Lodge tonight. We had performances to songs by artists ranging from Michael Jackson to Florida Georgia Line to Kelly Clarkson and everything in between. We had an astounding 62 acts this session!
One of the jams that got the crowd going was Leona Towns singing Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You. She got a standing ovation by the crowd after her song. Another act to get the crowd involved was Jarett Clark and Huey Gilmore. They sang Queen’s We Are the Champions, and everyone couldn’t help but join in.
The talent show included many duets and people singing to one another. Kimbriel Lewis sang Sugarland’s Stuck Like Glue to Matthew Peterson, and Mandy Miller and SCIT Sam Stephenson sang Start of Something New from High School Musical.
Not all our acts were songs however. Bobby Joe Harris showed off his Donald Duck impression, and Sam Sullivan gave us a small sample of his samurai skills.
Our finale was Ben Crowell bringing down the house with the Ignition Remix while Richard Haynes danced the song away. Be sure to check our Flickr for plenty of photos of these acts and our many others.
