Session 5
This morning during program rotations, we had a little bit of a snag in our plans for one program. Our boat needed a small repair before being able to carry campers on a ride across the beautiful Lake Martin.
The campers didn’t seem to be bothered by the delay a single bit. You could hear them singing camp songs and laughing all the way at the demo farm. They even combined forces with the group at the waterslide and played games like shuffleboard, ping pong, and checkers while others just danced to the music.
About half way through the time slot, the boat was fixed and ready for the campers. They loved their breezy boat ride on the lake even if it was a little shorter than expected. We’re so proud of our campers for being flexible and being able to roll with life’s little surprises. So much so, that every member of the group got an ASCCA Achievement for their awesome attitudes.
