Another incredible summer at Camp ASCCA has come to a close. I always forget how fast time flies here while we’re all having so much fun!
From my past 6 summers, this was easily the greatest staff I have ever worked with. Not only was everyone so much fun to hang around with, they also proved themselves as incredible counselors and program staff members. It has been wonderful to watch everyone mature and improve as workers each week. Throughout each session, we all worked hard to make Camp ASCCA a magical experience for every camper. Getting to capture the love and care that the staff members displayed to the campers was one of the greatest opportunities I have ever had.
I especially want to thank my wonderful PR team. The new interns, Jay and Lauryn, were such a joy to work with. As well as my boss Kasey, who helped me with putting together all of my videos. I’m excited to see where everyone will go from here! The teamwork and comradery the four of us shared will stay with me forever.
I cannot guarantee that I’ll return for another full summer, but I do intend to be a part of this incredible organization in some form for the rest of my life. Since my first summer back in 2013, Camp ASCCA has reshaped my entire life. It has helped me learn to appreciate the smaller aspects of life and not let anything or anyone be taken for granted. It has also shown me that my talents as a filmmaker could be used for more than just theatrical movies. My main goal with my videos has been to portray an intimate portrait of Camp ASCCA as a whole. Having now produced close to 100 videos, I feel that my goal has been reached. My final dream camp project is to someday produce a feature-length documentary on Camp ASCCA. I’m hoping to get that project ready within the next five years. Stay tuned for that!
Once again, I am very grateful to have returned for another unforgettable summer here at Camp ASCCA. Thank you all for watching my content and following me on this incredible journey.
