The Alexander City Rotary Club Visit

On Monday members from the Alexander City Rotary Club visited Camp ASCCA! Staff members John Stephenson and Dana Rickman are both members of this club and they held the weekly meeting at Camp today.

The walking tour started at the Administration Building and the group saw many buildings and program areas their donations have helped build over the years. The group stopped at the waterslide to watch campers go down this exciting thrill ride! The group is shown at the waterslide here with a couple of campers who enjoyed the activity.

Club president John Ferguson invited three special guests for the tour… camper Shaun Thompson, who is from Alexander City, along with his parents Derryl and Judy! Shaun’s parents have always brought and picked up Shaun from camp, but have never spent time walking around taking a tour. Shaun was very proud to show his parents all his favorite acitivities.

After the tour, the Rotarians enjoyed lunch with our campers and staff. The club contributes annually with proceeds from its annual Rotary Golf Challenge fundraising event. You cannot walk around Camp ASCCA without seeing something this club hasn’t helped with.

We thank you all for your many, many years of service and contributions!
