The Best of the Best!

Yesterday was the last full day of camp, but no one was paying attention to that because we still had a bunch of fun to enjoy. The Program Staff gives out awards every day during the week, but Thursday is the day to recognize every award we give out. It is time to show the best of the best!

For Best First Time Female Camper, we had Eloise Kelly. She was one of the sweetest little girls you could ever meet. She was always rubbing her tummy and smiling from ear to ear. She had one of the biggest smiles that I got to see everyday because every time I came around she was posing for a picture. The award for Best First Time Male Camper was given to Ethan LyBrand. He was exceptionally smart and loved to talk to everyone about his day and what he knows. He loved the Animal Invasion because during the show he would tell the speaker all the facts he knew about a certain reptile any chance he got.

Best Female Camper of the Week

For Best Male Camper we had Micah. He had everyone’s heart and soul because he didn’t give anyone a hard time. Micah wanted to do everything and anything at camp which was a blast for him and his counselor. He just wanted to play day and night with all of the campers. The award for Best Female Camper went to Bella Rayfield. Her enthusiasm during the day was always through the roof. She would greet anyone when they walked past with a smile, and they would smile as well after they saw her.

The Best Counselor Award was awarded to Abbie Simpson. She definitely deserved this award, and I couldn’t think of anyone better. Abbie is like Wonder Woman, she takes care of her own campers to the nth degree, and she helps any other counselor if they need help. We can all tell she loves every camper every week and of course this place! The Best Program Staff Award was given to the one and only Brandon Kelly. He runs the archery program most of the time, but if any other program or camper needs help he is right there. He is always waking up with a stellar attitude and is excited to see all the campers. Matt said it best, “He has a counselor’s heart!” You could definitely hear the “Awwww” in the background.

Lastly, the Honor Cabin Award went to Chero Chero CHEROKEE!!!! They were the loudest, proudest, and most creative cabin this week for sure. From banners and matching t-shirts to remixing the song Paradise by ColdPlay, these girls could not be stopped. They even came up with their nickname, CheroKitties!!!
