The First Talent Show of the Summer

It was another hot day yesterday here at Camp, but it did not stop us from having fun! There was a hot topic going around Camp yesterday, and no, it was not the fact that it was the Fourth of July. Last night was one of a kind because we had the first Camp ASCCA talent show of the summer. The talent show gives the opportunity to all of our campers to sing along to their favorite songs while dancing on stage with their best friends and counselors. Although most campers choose to show off their talent through song and dance, we welcome all talents to the Camp ASCCA talent show.

Since this is my first summer working for Camp ASCCA, this was my first time experiencing the talent show, so I was excited to see everyone perform. We held our talent show at the OutPost, which made for a perfect setting for all of our campers. The show started off with probably the best version of Amazing Grace I have ever heard. The camper absolutely rocked his performance. Throughout the night, everyone was gifted by the smooth vocals from the majority of our campers, and for those who did not participate, they had just as much fun dancing and hanging out with their friends in the crowd.

Most of the performances last night were a combination of singing and dancing, and we heard a variety of different songs including: “Let it Go” from Frozen, and the classic, “Ignition – Remix” by R.Kelly. The biggest hit of last night would have to be “Firework” by Katy Perry, which was a perfect song considering it was the Fourth of July. Last night was a huge party for everyone, and it was great seeing all of the campers shine on stage as they performed their talent.
