Summer sessions at Camp ASCCA have weekly themes. Can you guess this week’s theme? If you guessed Disney, you would be so right! This summer, we have switched things up for our Session One campers. Typically speaking, Session One rings in the summer with a USA theme to celebrate the fourth of July. Do not worry, we still celebrated our nation’s birthday Sunday evening, but for the rest of the week we will dress up in our best Disney costumes! So far, we have seen a lot of red, white, and blue, but we are ready to see those Mickey Ears and Princesses!
To elevate the thematic spirit, our campers and staff will be participating in a Disney themed activity tonight. Our Adventure Specialist, Jacob Boyer, has created a fun exploration for everyone to enjoy! All of our campers and counselors are decked out in their Disney gear for this evening program adventure. The night’s task was to find all of our program staff members! Once finding a member, the campers were asked to participate in games at each station. These games were based off of several different Disney movies! We saw characters such as Elsa from Frozen, Mowgli from The Jungle Book, Sally from Cars, and even Woody from Toy Story. Each character had a different game to play. Sally had a relay race; Woody lassoed up Little Bo Peep’s sheep; Mowgli had to be rescued from Shere Khan; Jasmine had to have help getting Rajah’s roar back; Moana needed help repairing her boat; and Ariel needed help finding Sebastian! What a night we had with all our favorite Disney friends! Stay tuned for some more updates on Session One!
