Yesterday was quite the day here at Camp ASCCA. It was a day that brought a lot of rain but even more smiles. Throughout the morning, we continued to run our morning programs despite the rain. Unfortunately, the afternoon was a different story, and we all had to move inside for rainy day activities.
With the way the schedule was set up, we moved last night’s activities to the afternoon, which meant one thing, evening free choice! Free choice allows are campers to choose where they want to go during that time. Another great thing about free choice is that a lot of activities that we have not had this week will be run during free choice.
Last night during free choice, I spent the majority of my time at the waterslide. The waterslide is one of the most popular activities here at Camp, and I love watching the campers’ faces as they slide down. The smiles that you get as someone slides down the slide are some of the best that you will get out of a camper. It is fair to say that we did not let the rain get in our way yesterday, but thankfully, it let up allowing us to have a fun night filled with free choice. .
