At tonight’s dance, campers relived their earlier years with throwback jams like “Ice, Ice, Baby” by Vanilla Ice and “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. This week’s theme was Flintstones to Jetsons also known as Decades Day! Everyone showed up in their best throwback or futuristics outfits, ready to dance the night away.
Outdoor Education Director Cody Graham was the DJ and had campers grooving all night! Members of the Program Staff stood at cafeteria doors and worked the floor along with counselors to ensure everything went smoothly. We even made time for a few line dances.
All throughout the week campers are writing friendly letters to one another, expressing their love and appreciation for the camp memories they get to make together. Read by Camp Director Matt Rickman during meal times, some of them include date requests to the dance! Watching them react and respond to the date requests are so adorable.
