Over the weekend, Camp ASCCA hosted its annual Fall Family Weekend. Our campgrounds were filled with joy, laughter, friendship, and limitless possibilities. It’s always special to reconnect with campers and staff after the summer season ends. We welcomed so many familiar faces and picked up right where we left off, as if no time had passed between us.

Our campers and staff began arriving on Friday afternoon, eager to see what the weekend had in store. Upon arrival, they were greeted with smiling faces and Halloween decorations as far as the eye could see. We kicked off the fun that night with dinner followed by a dance. It’s no secret that our campers have incredible dance moves—the music played until we couldn’t possibly dance anymore!
Saturday, our first full day of camp, began like any other. We started with flag raising, a quote, the joke of the day, and a prayer before heading inside for breakfast. Once everyone had eaten, campers and staff made their way to the gym to break off into their program rotations. This weekend, we had four groups and four activities: zipline, archery, nature, and arts & crafts. After we concluded programs for the day, everyone had time to head back to their cabins and change into their Halloween costumes.

Saturday night, we welcomed Carver Commodore as part of our ASCCA Concert Series. They were originally scheduled to join us for Session 3, but Mother Nature had other plans. We were so excited to finally have them at camp and share the magic of an ASCCA concert with them. They put on an incredible show—it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day together.

Our time together always seems to fly by, and as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We wrapped up our weekend with a talent show, where campers showcased a wide variety of talents. We heard lots of singing, saw more amazing dance moves, and even enjoyed some stand-up comedy. It was the perfect way to close out such a wonderful weekend.
Though our time together has come to an end, we hope everyone left Camp ASCCA with full hearts and memories they’ll carry with them for many years to come. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just “see you soon.”
Until next time, Camp ASCCA friends.
