Torch Helps Donates to Camp ASCCA

Tuesday, our Vice-Chair Janey Sanderson was invited to attend Torch Helps. This was part of The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville’s Giving Tuesday event.

Torch Helps is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2005 as part of Torch Technologies. Torch Helps, Inc., mission is to carry the torch for others in our communities by providing financial support to non-profit organizations that aid individuals and families who lack access to basic health and human services, or who require assistance to meet their fundamental needs for food, clothing, shelter, medical care, mental health, safety, and enrichment opportunities for the underserved, as well as non-profits that provide benefits to underserved populations.

During the Giving Tuesday event, Janey was in attendance as a representative of Camp ASCCA. Torch Helps presented Camp ASCCA with a $10,000 grant for our Campership Fund. This generous grant was made possible thanks to the recommendation of Paula Moseley, a former full-time staff member at Camp ASCCA and current employee at Torch!

Camp ASCCA’s success is fueled by the incredible support of organizations like Torch Helps, whose selfless contributions help us continue our mission to serve individuals with disabilities. We are truly grateful to Torch Helps for their generosity!

We also want to extend a special thank you to Paula Moseley for recommending Camp ASCCA for this amazing grant. It’s remarkable how even after leaving Camp ASCCA, the spirit of ASCCA never really leaves you. Thank you, Paula, for making such an incredible impact on our campers!
