It was the first pool party of Session 6, and the entire camp was extremely excited to jump in! It was a night full of laughs and playing around with the campers. Campers had a blast every second of the night!
One camper in particular is deaf, so she uses American Sign Language to communicate with her counselor Abbie. Her time in the pool was such a special moment for me because it shows that anyone can truly come to Camp ASCCA and have the time of their life no matter what. They pair you with the counselors that they feel will have a connection with the campers or they feel their personalities will work well together. You can see that in every activity if you watch and listen to the counselors and campers interact. It will make your heart smile!
This place is truly magical and I couldn’t stop thinking about it at the pool last night. The majority of the campers come back every year, and they always love it. I asked the campers last night at dinner what they did for the day, and they all had so much excitement in their voices. One half of the table was going to the pool party with me and all they kept saying was “I can’t wait for the pool!” It was so amazing to hear and see their excitement.
