As our second full day comes to an end, I would like to take a look back on last night. Yesterday was a normal day here at Camp, which included some rain and a little thunder. Throughout the day, everyone kept talking about the talent show and the talent that they would be performing for everyone. Session 6 campers sure brought the talent, and it was a joy watching them perform on stage.
The talent show is a great time for all of our campers to get on stage to sing and dance to their favorite songs. Last night was similar to all of our talent shows, but every talent show has something special. Every version of “Let it Go” has a unique twist to it that the campers add. All talents are welcome at ASCCA’s talent shows, and last night we had a variety of different talents. We had several singers and dancers, but we had one individual who even came on stage and told us all some jokes and another who did a putt putt demonstration.
For those campers who did not want to be in the talent show, they still had a lot of fun. While campers are on stage performing, other campers and counselors are in the audience singing and dancing along with everyone. Did I mention that at the talent show, we all get to enjoy a snow cone? There’s no better way to end a hot day than eating a snow cone, which added that little special treat that made last night’s talent show one for the books.
