We ended our fun-filled Tuesday with a talent show! Our talent show is easily one of the most fun activites at Camp ASCCA. Campers come prepared with the song they’ll sing, jokes they’ll tell, and instruments they’ll play when they first arrive.
Tonight we had a lot of songs sang, one stand up comedy act, and even a song played on the piano. Our campers are some of the most talented people we have ever met. We had fast songs that got everyone in the crowd on their feet, slow songs that made you want to grab a dance partner, and everything in between.
There was one song in particular that stood out to me, Lauren Daigle’s “You Say.” In the song it says “You say I am held when I am falling short. When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours.” I think that those words embody who Camp ASCCA is. At Camp everyone has a place, we all belong. On our best days and our worst Camp makes everything seem a little brighter. Our talent show tonight was just the refresher we needed to remind us that everyday we belong somewhere.
