Every week at Camp ASCCA something incredible happens. This magic is found in the quiet, caring moments that make camp safe, fun, and full of love. And a huge part of that is our amazing nursing students from Auburn University who volunteer with us every single week.
We couldn’t do what we do without them, and today, we want to give these future nurses the shout-out they deserve!
These nursing students can be seen jumping into camp activities with enthusiasm. They truly go above and beyond! They laugh with campers at the pool, cheer them on at the zipline, and even join our campers for lunch. Their kindness and dedication ensure that every camper gets the care they need while still having the best week of their lives.
For these students, Camp ASCCA isn’t just a clinical rotation, it’s a chance to grow as healthcare professionals in an environment full of joy and inclusivity. They learn to adapt, to connect, and to see the true impact of compassionate care. Their energy, expertise, and willingness to help in any way possible make them irreplaceable.
To every nursing student who has passed out crayons with a smile, stayed nearby to make sure campers are comfortable, or simply been a friendly face when someone needed it—thank you. You embody what Camp ASCCA is all about: service, love, and unforgettable memories.
