This week, we welcomed the Alabama Head Injury Foundation (AHIF) for their annual week at Camp ASCCA. AHIF has been attending Camp ASCCA for more than 20 years, and over that time, we’ve built an incredible relationship with both the organization and its participants. Every summer, we look forward to this week, and it’s always one that leaves a lasting impression on everyone involved.

It was a week full of fun. Our days were filled with exciting activities, unforgettable memories, and stories that will be shared long after the week came to an end. Whether it was laughter on the waterfront, cheering each other on at activities, or simply spending time together around camp, every day brought something special.
Campers and their buddies arrived Monday afternoon ready to hit the ground running. We were excited to welcome familiar faces who have been attending for years, while also meeting several first-time campers. Watching new friendships form and seeing returning campers pick up right where they left off is one of the best parts of the week.

Throughout the week, everyone enjoyed some of Camp ASCCA’s favorite activities, including the zipline, tubing, the Demo Farm, LPR, and so much more. No matter where you looked, there were smiles, words of encouragement, and people trying something new. It was the perfect reminder to slow down, soak in the magic of Camp ASCCA, and appreciate the incredible people who make this place so special.
As another AHIF week comes to a close, we’re grateful for the memories that were made, the friendships that grew even stronger, and the opportunity to spend another unforgettable week together. This week was a good week. If we had the chance to do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing.
