Today, we welcomed our first set of campers to ASCCA with lots of excitement and tons of spirit!
We started the day checking in campers, showing them to their cabins and introducing them to their new counselors. After getting to know each other and trading life stories, counselors and their campers headed to the dining hall to share dinner together. Not only did they enjoy the food they were served, they enjoyed the quality time spent with each other.
After a delicious meal, groups split up to do their preferred activity. Some campers chose to have a fun night shooting hoops in the gym, playing the Wii and hanging out in the game room. We loved having the sound of laughter and cheer fill Camp. Nothing beats the giant smile on a camper’s face after making a shot, the joy of winning bingo or the spirit of friendship that spreads on these grounds.
We had an amazing first day with campers that will be held in our memories forever. With lots of excitement, we look forward to the many days ahead of fun and endless activities: tubing, ziplining, demo farm, arts & crafts and more!
