Tonight, campers and staff gathered in the dining hall after dinner for the ASCCA Award ceremony. They all awaited patiently to hear the announcement of Session 5 winners. Camp gives out nine different awards for campers, counselors, and program staff who are voted on each week.
We started the evening with program awards led by each program and their staff. Our Arts & Crafts winner for this session was Athena Hontzas. The camper who won the Adventure award was Henry Shore. Noah Kuhn was the winner for Aquatics. And last but certainly not least, John Haughery was selected as the award recipient of Outdoor Education.
Next, we announced our Program Staff of the Week, Miss Elizabeth Riley, and our Counselor of the Week, Miss Alison Dojonovic. We proudly selected Lizzie Poore and Walter Hovater as Session 5’s Female and Male Campers of the Week. Our Honor Cabin of the Week went to Creek, also known as Creek Creek Cabin of the Week!
We were honored to recognize these amazing people for their joyful spirits and unconditional love for Camp ASCCA. It was a special week, and we can’t wait to tell you all about it!
