To wrap up Session 5, let’s take a minute to talk about the Session Slideshows! A tradition we have here at Camp ASCCA is to show a slideshow on the Friday of every session. This slideshow is supposed to show the Best Of Moments from the session and provide campers with reminders of everything they did over the week!
In the slideshows, each camper is featured at least twice, with some group photos and fun videos scattered throughout. The slideshows are about 6-7 minutes long and typically feature two songs. The first song is always different and is typically something the PR team feels fits the week. The second songs is always the same and could be seen as the theme song of the summer!
This summer, the song featured in each slideshow is “The Banjo Song” by Mumford & Sons. It is a sweet, kind melody that isn’t too sad but still tugs at the heartstrings a little. The slideshows are a way for the Camp to give one last hoorah to the campers, as well as show everyone what makes ASCCA so special!
Campers cannot wait all week for the slideshow. When they see themselves on the screen, they cannot help but smile while thinking of the memories they made over the week. Something else we love about the slideshow is that anyone can watch it if they want! We put each slideshow on our YouTube channel, so if someone wants to watch it, they can.
These weekly slideshows are so special to both the campers and staff! We love seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces while we take a little trip down memory lane. This is one of the sweetest traditions we have at Camp ASCCA, and we continue to love it every summer!
