One of the most special parts of Camp ASCCA is the people we get to share it with. This week, we were able to welcome camper Jozef Wasson to Session 6 with a piece of home. His nephew, Jacob Mathison, has been working this summer as a counselor-in-training(CIT).

Jacob explained how his uncle played a big role in his decision to spend his summer at ASCCA. Recently, Jozef began sharing stories with Jacob about his time at Camp, where he created memories for 23 years. After fondly reminiscing together, Jacob decided that the amazing stories he heard were something he wanted to experience and be part of. Jacob and Jozef are very close, so sharing Camp ASCCA means a lot to them both. Jozef was asked what his favorite thing about spending the session with his nephew was. He replied, “Everything!
While they were not paired together for the session, Jozef and Jacob have shared the Camp world. They have relished their time spent in the same magical place, and we are thankful to witness it all! Family is very important, and we welcome you all into our ASCCA Family. Camp makes friends into families and unites us all!
