Summer 2025 is right around the corner, and before the fun officially begins, we’re excited to introduce you to our amazing program staff! This team is confident, knowledgeable, and ready to give our campers the best summer experience possible.
First up, we’re thrilled to welcome back a familiar face — Riley Acton!
Riley is returning for his second year at Camp ASCCA. Last summer, he worked as a counselor, and this year he’s taking on a new role as part of our adventure program staff!
From Birmingham, AL, Riley is a rising junior at Auburn University, where he’s pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management.
Riley first discovered Camp ASCCA through his time as both a camper and staff member at Camp Seale Harris. Reflecting on his start, he shares, “I felt a calling to work at ASCCA. I had no prior experience with people with disabilities, but I wanted to experience something new.”

Like many of our team, Riley felt the pull of Camp ASCCA — a place that becomes a second home to so many. He’s excited to take on his new position and spend another summer with our incredible campers. One of the things he’s looking forward to most? Running the LPR zipline!
“With it being a sign-up activity, the campers are also really excited for it, and I love feeding into their energy,” he says.
Fun fact: Riley has been around Camp ASCCA for 10 years — he’s practically grown up here!
Stay tuned as we continue to introduce the rest of our incredible program staff!
