Meet the Program Staff 2025: Scarlett Cofield

Summer 2025 is right around the corner, and before the fun officially begins, we’re excited to introduce you to our amazing program staff! This team is confident, knowledgeable, and ready to give our campers the best summer experience possible.

Join us in welcoming a familiar face to our aquatics program staff—Scarlett!

Scarlett’s journey with Camp ASCCA began in 2021 when she joined as a CIT. Since then, she’s returned year after year, serving as a CIT, SCIT, counselor, and now, stepping into a new role as program staff.

Hailing from Springville, AL, Scarlett is a rising sophomore at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she’s pursuing a degree in special education.

“What keeps me coming back is the joy and happiness that the campers bring,” Scarlett shares. “I love building on relationships I’ve made in the past and watching the campers come out of their shells and gain independence.”

After four incredible summers as a counselor, Scarlett is excited to explore a new side of camp through the aquatics program. She’s always loved water activities and is thrilled to help create unforgettable memories.

“I’m really looking forward to every week,” she says. “I’m just excited to be here.”

Fun Fact: Scarlett has been a part of the ASCCA family since she was just 15 years old!
