This summer took an unexpected turn when lightning struck our Dining Hall during check-in for Session #3. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. Within 24 hours, we were connected with Alabama Disaster Relief, and thanks to their generosity and quick response, Camp ASCCA was back up and running!
With four sessions left in our summer season, we welcomed a new team of friendly faces to Camp each week. Alabama Disaster Relief Mass Feeding stepped in during our time of need, and our gratitude for them overflows.
While at Camp, they had the chance to meet many of our beloved campers, tour our facilities, soar on the zipline, and join in on dances and concerts!
Saying “thank you” doesn’t feel like enough to express how much we appreciate the hard work, time, and dedication they poured into each week. It was an honor to meet each individual, hear their stories, and share with them the magic of Camp ASCCA.
If they hadn’t answered the call when we needed help most, our summer would’ve looked very different. We are incredibly grateful for their willingness to serve.
