Throughout the summer during each session, campers are given the opportunity to enjoy a fun waterslide. It starts at the top of a hill, and smoothly sends riders down to their destination. It is inclusive for everyone with any and all abilities. Camp even has a tube that allows people who use wheel chairs to be able to enjoy the slide safely.
This week, campers sailed down the slide with the biggest smiles on their faces. One by one, they sat down, faced their fears, and did the slide. Turning their fears into fun, campers conquered the waterslide, not once, but twice. Each was allowed to go down it a few times during the rotation. This allowed campers to get to know each other better in the waiting time for their turn.
Campers will be able to come do the waterslide each day as a free choice activity in the afternoons. At ASCCA, we try to make sure that everyone’s experience exceeds their expectations. Most importantly, we want to make sure that everyone is able to have the experience in the first place. We can’t wait to see more awesome afternoons at the waterslide this summer.
