At Camp ASCCA, we love to highlight and celebrate our campers as much as we can! One way we do this is through ASCCA Achievements. Each day at lunch, six campers are recognized for each program rotation we offer.
The adventure program staff gives their achievement based on who was the most excited and optimistic about ziplining that day. They look for a camper who has the most upbeat energy about ziplining and who did the activity with pure happiness and dedication.
For arts and crafts, the program staff looks for someone who has a great time in the craft room and let their creativity soar. Something else they like to look for is not only the campers creativity during arts and crafts, but their attitude and happiness to be there.
The archery program staff likes to award a camper who had amazing shots while at the archery range. While they do look for someone who hit the target all three times, they also look for a camper who was proud of themselves and who genuinely enjoyed their time shooting the bow.
Aquatics program staff have the privilege of highlighting two campers each day! One camper for tubing and one camper for the pool. When it comes to tubing, the staff looks for someone who is genuinely excited for the activity and can take the water like a champ. For the pool, a camper who is prepared and ready for this activity is someone the program staff at these rotations love to see.
Lastly, the Demo Farm program staff gets to award a camper with an ASCCA Achievement. When picking who to give it to, they look for a camper who not only listened to the rules but also had fun playing with the animals. The staff look for someone who bonds with the animals and takes in the full experience of the Demo Farm!
