Camp ASCCA thrives on traditions. One we have been doing for many years is Patio Breakfast on Wednesday mornings. The staff and campers gather at our Patio that overviews Lake Martin and eat their breakfast. Our kitchen staff brings all the food and necessary items to the Patio so it is just like any other breakfast!
Having this tradition is something so special to us and is definitely something a few campers look forward to! This summer is also our first summer with the flag pole at the Patio! This allows us to continue the tradition of flag raising every morning when we have patio breakfast!
At the Patio, we have many picnic tables on two different levels, one right by the lake and another a little higher up. Along with this, all of our picnic tables are wheelchair accessible meaning campers who have wheelchairs can sit wherever they want!
After the campers are done eating, they can look at the Lake and enjoy the view to their liking! Patio Breakfast allows campers to bond with other campers and staff in a different way then when having a meal in the Dining Hall. The Patio has a more open concept meaning the campers can walk around and chat more freely than when in the Dining Hall.

We love this tradition here at ASCCA so we continue to do it each summer. The weather for Patio Breakfast is typically perfect since it is early in the morning meaning it is not too hot yet. This is something we adore doing here and it continues to get better every year!
