Dance the Night Away at Camp ASCCA

Last night, Camp ASCCA held its first dance of the summer! Every week we have a dance where our campers can listen to music and have fun with one another and our staff! This is something they look forward to and love every time they visit Camp.

This weeks theme at camp is Star Wars so the whole room was decked out in Star Wars décor! Some campers had Star Wars shirts on and some even had light sabers! Other campers dressed a little nicer in dresses or polos because they wanted to look their best. The staff also participated in the theme and some of them went all out for this special night!

All the campers were in attendance to the dance and every single one of them had the time of their life. Not only did they dance with each other, they danced with our staff too! DJ Tre provided the music for the night and gave us a mix of fun and fast songs along with slow and stead songs to dance to!

The campers love the slow songs because they get to dance with a camper or staff member who has really made an impact on them during their time here! Slow songs are a fan favorite with our campers because it gives them the chance to bond with someone special to them! Once the slow song starts, the campers get with someone and dance with all their heart!

The fast and upbeat songs are also super fun for our campers! Some of them made dance circles so each of them could show of their moves and others went to the center of the dance floor and left every ounce of energy on the dance floor! These songs help the campers really show off their personalities and moves to everyone at the dance.

The dance is one of the most memorable nights of each session and it is something the campers hold close to their hearts. They always talk about it all week and get ready for it days in advance. This is something Camp ASCCA loves to do for our campers and a tradition we plan to keep for many more years!
