At ASCCA, people are valued for who they are — not defined by their disabilities. We provide year-round, inclusive, and barrier-free camping experiences for children and adults with disabilities, offering a unique environment where campers can embrace their individuality and independence with the support and supervision they need.

Emily, a dedicated staff member since 2023, credits Camp ASCCA with changing her life. During her time here, she has deepened her passion, experienced profound love, and witnessed the transformative power of independence. Now, she shares her ‘Why ASCCA.‘
“I grew up going to summer camp myself, so I knew I would love working at ASCCA—but I never realized it would be so much more than just another summer job! Working at ASCCA has truly changed my life. It fueled my passion for working with individuals with disabilities and opened my eyes to the difference I can make in the lives of others.
It also gave me the gift of sharing my love for summer camp with those who might not have that opportunity at most other camps. Being part of this unique environment has shown me the power of acceptance and friendship, the importance of fostering independence, and the value of connections built on pure, unwavering love.
This place has been a home to so many, including myself, over the past three summers, during which I’ve served as a counselor, program staff, and now—as a unit leader this summer. I feel incredibly grateful to continue being part of such a special environment and can’t wait for another amazing summer!”
